'Trigger Dominoes'
Revelations of such proportions
Jubilant Wednesday to you!
I’m in a doozy of a space with God. Words in all honesty fail to capture the depths of which I feel I have ended up in with Him. Not even sure I jumped into the deep end, but I’m somewhere in the furthest, deepest spots of His river.
In multiple settings I have had questions I think I had long ago in my walk with Him come back with a fierceness of ‘how deep does His Love for each one of us go? How much more does He long for each one of us to wash us with His grace and peace and mercy and joy and all of who He is?’
It’s a bit of a wild space to be in.
Have you ever had those moments? You bring something you feel pop up in your spirit, in your mind and heart to one or two different groups of people, and then another one later in the day speaks about it exactly. Wild. Wild indeed.
To say I have not processed it all in its entirety is an understatement and so although I have a poem in my head, a full on erratic, runaway pinball by this point, I cannot grasp all the words yet.
Today’s poem, then, I think needed to be the first ‘domino’ to start the flood.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
And before you were born I consecrated you;
I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” ~Jeremiah 1:5
A few other verses to reference: Ephesians 1:4, 2 Timothy 1:9, Revelation 13:9, Psalm 40:5, Psalm 139.
Trigger Dominoes
Do you ever encounter
new information
or fresh revelation?
Does such ah-ha moments
stop you in your tracks
and trigger dominoes,
cognitive dissonance
of what you thought you knew?
The most well known adages,
phrases, words, scriptures
in an instant
can take on so much more~
more richness or deepness,
more connections not seen before.
So I find myself
in deep wonderment,
complex contemplation
for which the full words
have yet to materialize
and my ears pick up the rattle
of thousands of dominoes~
until then think of this Truth:
if God knew us before we were formed
in our mother’s wombs
and found us in Christ long before the cross,
then our identities rest in Him,
not in the fall of man.

Do your ears pick up the dominoes on their descent too?
Not entirely sure where it will all go, but I’m for the ride. I know God’s thoughts for each of us stands far greater than we can imagine and they stay thoughts of goodness and not harm. Wow!
I hope to gather my thoughts a little more and get the poem for Friday and how to share it out of my noggin. Pray for such please! Thank you!
Until then, stay tuned for Friday’s post and join me in this river of His Goodness!
Blessings!
