'Do You Ever'
Life carries many questions
Beautiful Friday to you all from Central Florida!
Hope you have had a wonderful week so far!
Today’s poem comes again from last Tuesday’s writing session in the café with the small group of writers I joined for a hour of writing time.
As I wrote the previous few poems before this one I remember I looked up to gaze around the café at the walls, the people, the décor, and even out the large windows to the street with the cars and busyness of city life on display.
The start of the poem began to formulate as I took in everything around me. I mean what could the walls say about the people encountered, the stories overheard whether filled with sadness or joy, arguments or laughter. I’m sure a wealth of stories could exist within the confines of the walls alone.
Let alone in the stories the birds and squirrels could discuss.
Either way I hope the poem causes you to think a little outside the box today in your encounters with anybody you find yourself around and maybe even lead you to offer kindness along the way.
Do You Ever
Do you ever sit
and gaze around you
to wonder the stories,
the whispers
the walls could share
or the depths of the heart
of each individual?
Do you ever long
so hard for grace
to flow in all directions
you close your eyes
and your heart
picks up the frequency
of Heaven?
Why do we lose sight
of the people encountered
based off broken pieces
within their stories
and fail to realize
maybe we can be one
to fit a few mosaics?
Breathe in His sweet Aroma
for all you encounter.

May the grace of God shine upon you and may you encounter His embrace in the places you need the most! He so loves and adores you!
Blessings!
