Greetings and salutations!
**I think this was in Fredericksburg back in 2016/2017. It’s been awhile, but I remember seeing the clouds as two hands praying. God is so creative!
Today’s poem I wrote shortly after the poem on Monday titled ‘Worship from His Eyes’. I think at the time my thoughts were filled with questions about how or why we tend to allow distractions to fill our minds, our hands, our every moment at times. It can be difficult to pinpoint as a whole for everyone is technically going to have different reasons for the distractions.
Maybe the grief from a lost loved one stands too tall for them to conquer. Maybe the brokenness and insecurities from different traumas and breaking points as a child or teen haven’t been dealt with or maybe even they like what they like and they see no issue with the hours on hand on social media.
Who knows? Doesn’t really matter at the end of the day, but I do believe God has begun to call His children to Himself in a way that requires a letting go of the things that placate us. To actually take the time to dive deep into His grace and love in ways we haven’t done so or haven’t done so in a long time.
Kind of the underbelly of the poem today.
Consumption Devices in Hand To take and take, Use each to completion, But the story shifts Flames roar Forth, Twice the heat And beads of sweat blossom~ What to do now? What surrender needed? Drop the tech, The hindrances, the leashes, Every little thing to hold one back And step into the flames, Holy Heat of Heaven, A purge of impurities For now no separation, No distance of any design To hinder from the Father, A Resonance unheard of To envelope one in His embrace And consume with Love. Who steps forth to the flames? ~Selah~ ~By: A.J. Wagoner ©️2025
What say you? Will you lay down the devices and mechanisms that keep you so busy you miss the voice of God? Miss the whispered, ‘I love you son! I’m for you daughter!’
Will you step towards the flames of God and allow Him to cleanse you and burn up the impurities within you?
As my post about ‘My Consistent Yes’, I know what I want to choose still stays at ‘Yes’. Granted I know times still exist I get caught up in random videos of different things that I do not need to stay glued to. Not bad in and of itself, but when it becomes something to distract yourself from doing the work to improve in the process of life, then it can become too much and needs work.
For me I will commit to the work in progress He continues to do in me to form me into the man He created me to be! What a ride!
I’ll continue also to look for His winks in the sky or the rest of the places I journey around and through. He’s always present!
May His love and grace shine upon you and give you moments to sit in nature and take in the beauty of creation!
Blessings!
